I live in a swampy area of Louisina…..New Orleans!!!! Now….we really dont live in the swamp,and we are a safe distance from the French Quarter. My household takes baths daily and we own several fly swatters. with that said….I would like to rid my home of flies. I will say, on the weekends it is difficult to keep the front door closed at all times as children are running in and out. We in New Orleans like to keep the party going all the times. My neighbors and I cook…..all weekend long. Of course we all end up complaining about the flies. During the week, after the garbage man has come and gone,the flies are still crazy. One neighbor pours bleach around the perimeter of her home. She says it works…..I dont know. I have tried mint and peppermint in doorways and windows to deter them that way. I realize flies are always going to be a problem in the Dirty South but does anyone have any REAL helpful tricks to at least minimize them

I’ve had terrible luck with shoes my whole life because my feet are both big and wide. Now the medication I’m on makes my feet swell so it’s even worse. Any suggestions for places / websites that specialize in wides with styles that are actually cute instead of looking like they belong on an 80 year old woman?

I have a mint 24k gold plated Jerome Bettis Card from is 06 Super bowl year still in plastic it worth anything?

I bought the Card a couple weeks after the Super Bowl game was won. It’s still in the plastic case and the card is untouched. It’s 24k gold plate and it has his stats from his ‘05 -06 season. I have been trying to find anything on the card over the internet, but i can’t even find a picture of it. I was just wondering if it would be worth anything.

Old Fashioned Recipes?

I am looking for a recipe for hard candy. You can flavor it with any kind of flavors (mint, lemon, licorice, strawberry ect) and it has powder sugar that is coated on the top of the candy. You pour it in a cookie sheet and break it when cooled. I cannot seem to find one. Anyone have it?
