Can anyone help me name an Indian dessert?
August 16th, 2009 Posted by: admin
My dad brought home an Indian dessert today, and I just need to know the name and recipe. It smells and tastes like Chai, but with almost the same consistency of cotton candy. It comes in brittle cubes, and is delicious. Any help?

I’m a carny.what do non carnies think?
June 16th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Ok, I was born on the carnival. I know that there are stereo types out there. But, first let me say that they are different classes of ppl on the carnival just like in the outside world. My family has a nice house for winter, we are clean, don’t do drugs, and have all of teeth
But, since I was a little girl I used to wonder what it was like to be a ‘regular little girl”. But, I was also raised not to talk to ’suckers’ (that would be anyone not on the carnival). So, I have some questions please help me understand…
1) what does it feel like to walk on a carnival? I mean what is the excitement of it all.
2) Why would anyone eat a corndog, candy apple, or cotton candy?
3) why would anyone ride the rides? they are very dangerous and put up by in just a few hours by guys that have been driving for hours, on drugs with no sleep.
4) I have personally beat people for a lot of money when they were trying to win a teddy bear. The funny part is that they will say I am not spending $50 on that bear but then end up spending $200 for it and don’t realise it. What motivates someone to spend that kind of money on a teddy bear.
Would love to hear insights from real live suckers.
hey crackpipe: is it true that all black people are drug dealers? NO! So, why would all carnival men be pedophiles…lmbo. please.
We have a set route each year. The show has to bid on locations. but once we get the location it is ours for a set time.
as for emptying the toilet…most rv parks have a place to empty them LOL how funny! hehe
We make enough money that we don’t have to work during the winter. But, there are people like the ride guys and some of the people in the games that aren’t good at what they do that either find a carnival that is all year or go live with their boss on their property. We have living quarters for people that work for us. They stay in the living quarters in the winter and do things like paint the concessions and fix them for the next year in exchange for food and shelter.

I’ve seen alot of deaths and injuries from the rides in my 36 years. Most were ride boys that bent down to pick up money that fell from the ride. But, when I was 3 I saw a father holding his 3 year old daughter riding on a swing. the swing busted off flew through the midway crashed the door of a trailer back in living area and plopped on to the bed. both were safe. I seen a little boy die in a zipper. I’ve seen several deaths.
well in england there would be alot of gypsies. We have some english gypsies here…very family oriented people. When I was a child I went to school like everyone else in the winter. But, I never really got the other kids. My life totally different from theirs. So, we never really clicked. Alot of kids are homeschooled. Which some parents say they are homeschooling their kids but they don’t do a very good job! But, that is not just in the carnival business. As for gypsies and school…I am not sure? They are taught the family business and expected to carry on with that business. They do know how to read so I assume that they are homeschooled too
