September 18th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Why does chocolate made in the US taste fake and waxy but chocolate from other countries is so tasty and delish? Like Germany, Sweden, and beyond!!! They have wonderful chocolates.

Can you spray thinned chocolate from an airbrush?
September 9th, 2009 Posted by: admin
For fine details in chocolate moulds (high quality chocolate) I know you can thin chocolate with extra cocoa butter and spray with a large spay painting tool….. but I was wondering if it would easily get clogged in a smaller airbrush or if it did would it be easy to clean with hot water afterwards? It would be neat to make fine details on my chocolates. Has anyone had experience with this? My airbrush is a dual action eclipse model.

What kitchen equipment would I need to open a gourmet chocolate shop?
July 14th, 2009 Posted by: admin
And what are some good websites to get the equipment from? Also, how would I go about finding websites where I can buy my various chocolates (dark, bittersweet, etc…) in bulk. I am in a really tiny town and need to create a website to showcase and sell my yummies in addition to the storefront I am currently seeking. Any info on how to do the website would be great!!!! I have the know how to make great chocolates but really need help in the business area. Thanks!

Is chocolate about the size of a rice grain dangerous for a three month old small breed?
June 21st, 2009 Posted by: admin
I heard that chocolates are dangerous for dogs. My puppy is a mix of small breeds. He’s almost three months old and weighs 1Kg from his last vet visit.

How do you make shaped chocolate without a mold?
June 14th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I want to make my hockey-obsessed friends hockey stick-shaped chocolates for christmas, but I don’t have a mold. Does anyone know of a good way to do it? Would cutting them out work?
They don’t have to be 3D, a flat shape would do.

February 26th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I have started making chocolates with fillings. I made some with chocolate mousse as filling, but without being refrigerated it was too soft. How can I make it more solid and ganache like?

why does chocolate from England taste better than chocolate here in the US?
January 18th, 2009 Posted by: admin
My friend got some chocolate in the mail from her friend in England…a huge box, which she shared with everyone and we all agreed that it’s so not fair that we can’t get the same chocolates over here. What’s so different?

Is it ok to attach thank you notes onto guests gifts for a baby shower?
January 9th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m throwing a baby shower for my sister this weekend and for guest gifts, I am going to give out candy bags (with various chocolates and other types of candy) with pink ribbon attached to them. I really wanted to add something to the bags like a poem or something, but I was thinking that since I would have to give out thank you notes, is it ok to just attach one to all of the guests gifts or would it be more proper to mail them out to each person after the shower. I couldn’t really find any etiquette information about this. What are your suggestions?

How do you make chocolate mold with liquor inside?
November 8th, 2008 Posted by: admin
I see them in the stores all the time around the holidays. They are just a small piece of candy that has liquor on the inside instead of a creamy filling or whatever else you find in the middle of chocolates. I thought it would make a nice idea to make for a xmas party we are going to. We have to bring a homemade item so I thought these would be a hit. Anyone know?
