My poem ‘ DREAM’ for my bf. What do you think? What can you draw from it? Your interpretations?

DREAM

It was a dirty piece of candy.
A coin wedged underneath.
Pointless stuffing in a pillow.

Born with two broken legs.
Walking sticks are futile.
In a world hungry for sin.

When life rips away my life.
I remember, my life is him.
In a chaos of reflections.

When he’s inside, deep within.
I surrender my weapon to him.
Ongoing peace in our war.

Kisses cure a cold cancer.
Touches calm a monster.
He’s so beautiful in my arms.

Eyes of a boy, the skin of a man.
Lick of a snake, tug on the chest.
I know, the child will never die.

The worst and best, test of fate.
Disorder of Ares-Apollo, test of patience.
Test of our fate, dare to ****.

Brushing grey long hair ,once a sun.
Trimming his grey beard, still a moon.
I want him till death and beyond.

This is my dream

Which is a more healthful snack: Welch’s fruit snacks or Craisins®?

Welch’s has a product called “fruit snacks” that is available in the vending machines at my workplace. It looks like candy and tastes like candy, but it’s fat free, made with real fruit juice, and provides vitamins A, C and E. I am snacking on the orange flavored Craisins® and I realized that I’m making myself fat. I should really have a salad or rice cake, but if the choice were between the candy-like snack and the candy-sweetened fruit, which one is better?
They both claim 130 calories per 40g serving. The fruit snacks come in a 64g package.

What kind of longboard would be best for a christmas present?

I’d really like to get my boyfriend a longboard for christmas, but I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever on the subject.

He doesn’t really skate very much, and would be mostly using it to get around his college campus. If possible, I’d like it to already be assembled when I order it. My price range is anywhere under $150.

Any kind of recommendation would be helpful- brand names, stores, websites, specific boards, etc. I’m having a crisis!

What is the dodge/chrysler brand compact equivelant to the El Camino/Ranchero i saw?

The other day i saw in a parking lot, a very small El Camino/Ranchero style car/truck that had the star/pentagon badge shared by chrysler and dodge. The vehicle was very small, but in its pristine condition with candy apple red paint, i honestly would love to own one like that. It was about 80% the size of an El Camino, such that it had an overall footprint much more like a VW Beetle. It appeared to be somewhere between the very late 70s to the very early 90s, based on its boxy appearance, reminiscent of the old Monte Carlo’s used for hobby stock racing (boxy with lots of accent creases to the panels, 80s typical).

There were no badges identifying the vehicle anywhere, and I think i honestly might buy one if i knew what they were so i could find one on eBay. Thanks!

How do I stop my cat from chewing on all the cords in my house?

She has actually chewed through 2 different cords so that it didnt work anymore. All the other cords I’ve checked have teeth marks in them. How do we stop her from doing this? She’s about 12 months old.

1st grade book suggestions?

I read in the paper something about group that went around to schools and shelters to read to children. I decided to volunteer. Once everything was set (background check, fingerprints, etc), they gave me the place I’m going to. It’s a school about 20 minutes away from my house it a well, needy town. The schools can’t afford to hire extra people to come and help out the teachers, so this program is a lifesaver to them.

Once a week what happens is the teacher does her 30 minute math lesson, then gives the kids 30 minutes worth of quiet math work. Then she does 30 minute spelling lesson, and gives them 30 minutes worh of quiet spelling work. Then she gives the kids 30 minute social studies lesson, and 30 minutes worth of quiet work. Another teacher has the same schedule (just one is 30 minutes ahead of the other). During those 30 minutes of quiet work, I”m sitting in the back of the room with 1 student at a time (there learning to read homework book) while the teacher helps the students with the “queit work” they are doing. I have to run back and forth between both classes during “quiet work” time.

Anyway, then at the end of that, both classes have 45 minutes of reading groups. Each day is a different group. That means the other children are left doing SSR. I plan on having a outloud reading. Any suggestions on books? It’s a 1st grade class!
I don’t know why I did all that explaination lol. It’s just force of habit. Anyway just read this, what is a good book to be read to kids outloud in 1st grade?
